After earning my Occupational Therapy (OT) degree from Utica College of Syracuse University over 20 years ago, I had the fabulous opportunity of designing a clinic where I was the director and therapist supporting Autistic individuals with very significant sensory processing differences. They were, along with their families, my teachers. Presuming competence came naturally to me and has been my guide throughout my practice.
I take pride in being an "Out of the Box" therapist. I have never been content with "cookie-cutter" approaches. My aim has always been to support individual's in navigating their world with greater comfort and confidence.
In addition to working in this clinic I have worked:
At a local Tribal School with children 0-5 years old
With youth/teens at a Mental Health Hospital
In Family's Homes
At agencies advocating for individual with Developmental Disabilities
In Private Practice
It continues to be a joy for me to work as a holistic Occupational Therapist (OT) in assisting individuals to resolve issues of:
Anxiety
Stress
Fears
Social/Emotional challenges
Low Self-Esteem
No one deserves to struggle with these difficult challenges.
