Maureen Brady, OTR/L, has been a holistic Occupational Therapist for over 20 years. She was fortunate to have the opportunity to complete her internship at the Ayres Clinic in Torrance, CA. It was here that A. Jean Ayres, PhD, OTR, developed Sensory Integration, the now widely accepted theory that addresses neurological challenges for many individuals. After Maureen earned her degree from Utica College of Syracuse University she pursued her vision of opening a clinic in Syracuse, NY that focused on sensory processing interventions where she met and worked with children, teens and adults who had been diagnosed with Autism. In addition, Maureen has worked with individuals in home settings, clinics, schools, and pediatric in-patient units in a psychiatric hospital. This journey of connecting with individuals in various settings has included a rewarding bond with many individuals and families.
After moving to the Seattle area in 2006 Maureen continued to increase her knowledge and skills to assist individuals of all ages with Autism, ADHD, anxiety and mental health challenges in improving sensory processing abilities, decreasing anxiety, increasing focusing and attending abilities and improving self-regulation.
Maureen has knowledge of a variety of modalities that have assisted individuals in decreasing anxiety and fears including specific phobias and nightmares and helped to improve sleeping, eating, digestion and overall regulation. Maureen continues to be passionate about supporting adults and children and assisting individuals of all ages to be more comfortable in their bodies, be more successful in their goals and have an overall sense of improved self-esteem.
